SC: Family Court Lacks Jurisdiction to Entertain Paternity Claim from Extra-Marital Affair - 30.01.2025

Supreme Court has observed that the jurisdiction conferred upon the Family Court is for the settlement of issues arising out of matrimonial causes and it lacks jurisdiction to entertain a plea for paternity claim arising from an extra-marital affair.
