SC Directs Union Govt. to Make Necessary Changes to Address Caste-Based Discrimination in Prisons - 29.01.2025

SC while observing the discrimination done with prisoners in prisons on the basis of their castes, has directed the Union Government to make necessary changes to address caste-based discrimination in the Model Prison Manual 2016 and the Model Prisons and Correctional Services Act, 2013.
