SC: Asking Woman to Not Live if She Can’t Live Without Marrying Her Lover Isn’t Abetment to Suicide - 22.01.2025

SC has observed that a remark such as asking the deceased to not be alive if she cannot live without marrying her lover will not gain status of abetment. There needs to be a positive act that creates an environment where deceased is pushed to an edge in order to sustain charge of Section 306 IPC.
