SC Refuses to Interfere in Karnataka HC’s Judgment regarding Police Custody within First 40 Days - 09.01.2025

Supreme Court has refused to interfere in Karnataka High Court’s judgement which held that under Section 187 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) offences which are punishable upto ten years of imprisonment, police custody of fifteen days must be sought within first forty days.
