SC: In a Compromise Decree Acquiring Property with Pre-Existing Right, No Stamp Duty is Required - 23.12.2024

Supreme Court has observed that if a person acquires a property through compromise decree in which he already has a right then there is no need of registration under the Registration Act, 1908 and no stamp duty would be charged on such decree.
