SC: For Repayment of Court Fees, Lok Adalat and Mediation Cannot be Equated - 20.12.2024

Supreme Court has held that in terms of repayment of Court fees, there should not be any confusion between a dispute that has been amicably settled by mediation under Sec. 89 of CPC and a dispute settled through Lok Adalat as Lok Adalat and mediation are two distinct methods and cannot be equated.
