Bom. HC: Past Service Record Relevant in Deciding Quantum of Punishment - 17.12.2024

Bombay High Court while hearing a matter on dismissal of a worker for sleeping on duty, has observed that while such an act is a misconduct, dismissing the worker for the same is disproportionate. The Court held that past service of employee is relevant in deciding the quantum of punishment.
