RBI Committee suggests Way Forward for UCBs

The Reserve Bank of India released the 'Report of the High Powered Committee on Urban Co-operative Banks'. Recommendations in the Report focus on business size and conversion of multi-state UCBs into joint stock bank, conversion of UCBs into Small Finance Banks, issue of fresh licences, and more. Suggestions and comments on the Report are being received by the RBI till 18 September, 2015.
