IT Rules Amendment 2023: Bombay High Court Strikes Down Amendment on Fact Check Units - 20.09.2024

Bom. HC has struck down IT Rules Amendment 2023 that authorized the Central Government to establish Fact Check Units for identification of false or fake news on social media platforms. Justice Atul Chandurkar opined that the amendments are violative of Article 14 and 19 of the Constitution of India.
