SC: Witness Making Self-Incriminating Statements Can be Summoned as Additional Accused - 13.09.2024

Supreme Court has held that he qualified privilege under the proviso to Section 132 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 does not grant complete immunity from prosecution to a person who has deposed as a witness and made statements incriminating himself.
