Bom. HC: Validity Granted to the Caste Certificate Cannot Be Challenged In Election Petition - 12.09.2024

Bombay High Court has held that even an erroneous decision of the Caste Scrutiny Committee, granting validity to the caste certificate cannot be challenged in election petition. Election petition being a serious matter, no inquiry can be continued in to the status of the returned candidate.
