Supreme Court Stays Defamation Proceedings Against Shashi Tharoor - 11.09.2024

Supreme Court has stayed criminal defamation proceedings against Congress MP Shashi Tharoor that were initiated over his “a scorpion sitting on a Shivling" remark. The Court stated that it is a metaphor and can be understood as pointing out to the invincibility of the person.
