SC: Car Dealer Absolved from Liability for Death Caused During Test Drive by Manufacturer's Employees - 05.09.2024

Supreme Court while dealing with a case of payment of compensation under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, has absolved a car dealer from the liability to pay compensation, on the ground that the dealer was neither the owner nor in control/ command of the vehicle at the time of accident.
