Single Window Project-Simplification of procedure in SWIFT

MANU/CUCR/0029/2016

The Central Board of Customs notified several items under different customs tariff heads, which are chemicals not drugs, to not be sent to the Assistant Drug Controller for clearance.

The move should simplify operations under the ‘Indian Customs Single Window Project’, wherein importers and exporters lodge their customs clearance electronically. Once filed, permission if required from any government agency, is obtained online without the private party having to separately approach the agencies.
