Bombay HC to Government: "Mandals" to Follow Idol Immersion Guidelines, Not to Use POP - 02.09.2024

The Bombay HC has directed the state government to issue directions to all municipal corporations to impose 'strict conditions' on Mandals seeking to organise Ganeshotsav to not to use Ganpati idols made from Plaster of Paris (PoP), in view of CPCB's Guidelines on Idol Immersion banning use of PoP.
