Ker HC: Public Place in S. 294 of IPC Include Even those Areas Which are in Vicinity of Public Place - 12.08.2024

Ker HC has held that the term public place in S. 294(a) of IPC include even those areas which are in vicinity of public place, meaning thereby that if obscene words uttered in a public place are heard by persons in vicinity of public place so as to cause annoyance, it would attract S. 294(b) of IPC.
