Supreme Court: Blacklisting Orders Must be Justifiable and Proportionate - 09.08.2024

SC has held that orders of blacklisting are a drastic remedy and they need to be justifiable and proportionate. It further observed that debarring a person tantamounts to civil death as the person is commercially ostracized resulting in serious consequences for the person and his employees.
