SC: Practice of Courts in Gujarat to Let IO Seek Police Custody While Granting Bail is Illegal - 08.08.2024

SC has held that the practice prevailing in Gujarat, that IOs are given liberty to seek police custody remand of accused after Court has granted anticipatory bail does not appeal to the Court for a moment. Such an interpretation does not appear to be in consonance with unambiguous position of law.
