SC: Partition of Property Can’t be Done by Metes & Bounds in Chandigarh - 26.07.2024

Supreme Court has restated that, due to the Chandigarh (Sale of Sites and Buildings) Rules, 1960 property cannot be partitioned by metes and bounds in Chandigarh and the only solution in a partition suit is sale by way of auction.
