Mad. HC: Prior Sanction u/s 197 CrPC Not Required to Prosecute Officers Below Rank of Inspector - 26.07.2024

Madras High Court has held that prior sanction under Section 197 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 is not required to prosecute police officers falling below the rank of Inspector of Police.
