Supreme Court: Promotion to be Effective from the Date on Which It Was Granted - 25.07.2024

Supreme Court while hearing an appeal against an employee seeking retrospective promotion, has observed that promotion of an employee is to be effective from the date on which it was granted and not from the date on which the vacancy has occurred.
