SC: Court not Sentencing Convict to Life Imprisonment, Can’t Impose Sentence Beyond 10 Years - 23.07.2024

Supreme Court has held that when the sentencing court does not impose punishment of life imprisonment on a convict, such court cannot grant punishment for a term exceeding ten years.
