SC: Imprisonment Till Rising of Court is a Very Lenient Punishment for Offence of Bigamy - 16.07.2024

Supreme Court while enhancing the punishment of a woman’s parents who abetted her to perform bigamy and were punished with imprisonment till rising of court, has observed that the punishment is not a proper sentence falling in tune with the rule of proportionality.
