Bom. HC: While Granting Bail, Trial Court Cannot Direct Accused to Obtain Passport and Surrender it - 11.07.2024

Bombay High Court has held that while imposing the condition for grant of bail, the Trial Court does not have power to direct any person to apply for a passport, obtain it and then surrender it. This direction can only be given if the accused possesses a passport.
