SC: People Unaware that Age of Consent for Sexual Intercourse has been Raised from 16 to 18 Years - 09.07.2024

Supreme Court while dismissing the Madhya Pradesh government’s appeal against the acquittal of the accused under the POCSO Act, has observed that awareness is still not there that the age of consent for sexual intercourse has been increased from 16 to 18.
