Ker. HC: No Power on Insurance Ombudsman to Dictate Terms of Insurance Policy Renewal - 03.07.2024

Ker HC has held that nowhere in Insurance Ombudsman Rules, 2017 it is stated that Insurance Ombudsman has power to issue directions to insurer to issue a policy at a specified premium. The power conferred on him as per the Rules is only to award compensation and not to give any direction to insurer.
