Ker. HC: Authorities Cannot Proceed Against Assets Not Related to Money Laundering Under PMLA - 02.07.2024

Kerala High Court has held that the purpose of PMLA is to remove tainted money and also to initiate proceedings against proceeds of crime. Such a provision cannot be used to enable authorities to proceed against properties that are unconnected with any of the criminal activity in question.
