Mad. HC: Co-operative Society Registered Under TN Co-operative Societies Act Not Public Authority - 10.06.2024

Mad. HC has observed that a co-operative society registered under Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act is not bound by RTI Act to provide information requested by a citizen and that a co-operative society does not fall within definition of “public authority” under Right to Information Act, 2005.
