Centre Starts Granting Citizenship Under CAA in West Bengal, Haryana and Uttarakhand - 30.05.2024

Central Government has started granting citizenship under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 (CAA) in West Bengal, Haryana and Uttarakhand. Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that the citizenships are being granted through state-level empowered committees.
