National Company Law Tribunal effective 1 June 2016

The Central Government constituted the National Company Law Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal for hearing matters arising under the Companies Act and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2015.

As of 1 June 2016 all proceedings pending before the Company Law Board will stand transferred to the newly constituted Tribunal.

Hon'ble Justice S. J. Mukhopadhaya, Judge (Retd.), Supreme Court of India has joined as the Chairperson of the NCLAT and Hon'ble Justice M.M.Kumar, Judge (Retd.) has joined as the President of the NCLT.

Benches of the Tribunal will be located at Delhi, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.
