SC: History Sheets Shouldn’t Contain Name of Innocent Indiv. Solely Because of their Caste or Backg. - 08.05.2024

SC has directed States to revisit policy regarding entries in History Sheets and observed that studies are available in public domain that reveal a pattern of an unfair and prejudicial mindset. It is alleged that Police Diaries are maintained selectively of individuals belonging to backward classes.
