SC: Improper to Move HC Under Art. 226/227 for Release of Vehicle When Remedy Available u/s 451 CrPC - 10.04.2024

SC held that when Section 451 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 empowers criminal court to pass order for custody and disposal of property pending inquiry or trial, it is not proper to invoke jurisdiction of the High Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking release of vehicle.
