Supreme Court: Union’s Plea to Condone Delay of Twelve Years Refused - 05.04.2024

SC stated that once it is held that a party has lost its right to have the matter considered on merits because of its own inaction for a long period, it cannot be said to be non-deliberate delay, hence party cannot plead that the substantial justice deserves preference over technical considerations.
