Del. HC: Dish TV Not Entitled to Protection u/s 30(2) of Trade Marks Act for Using the Word ‘Dish’ - 13.03.2024

Delhi High Court has held that Dish TV India Limited cannot seek protection under Section 30(2) of the Trade Marks Act, 1999 for using the word ‘Dish’ as it is generic in nature and is a common English word over which monopoly cannot be permitted.
