DGFT to consider applications involving change in PAN

Regional Authorities of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade will consider applications seeking modification in Importer Exporter Code, where there has been a change in the Permanent Account Number of the applicant.

RAs will have to ensure that liabilities of the previous applicant firm are transferred to the new applicant whose PAN number is reflected in the modified IEC.

RAs can also no linger rejected applications digitally signed by Power of Attorney, instead of a Director, on the ground that the attorney-holder is not explicitly mentioned in the application form.
