Gau. HC: Conviction Under Section 489B of Indian Penal Code Set Aside For Lack of Mens Rea - 29.02.2024

Gauhati High Court has set aside the conviction of a man under Section 489B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 on the ground that no mens rea on the part of the accused for having forged or counterfeited notes has been established.
