Bom. HC: Imprisonment Exceeding Twelve Months Can’t Be Given For Default in Payment of Maintenance - 28.02.2024

Bom. HC has observed that the Magistrate under Section 125 of CrPC can only impose imprisonment upto twelve months on 1 application for default of payment of maintenance. Court clarified that 12 defaults can be put together in 1 application and further defaults in separate applications.
