Calcutta HC: No Penal Proceedings Attracted if Bona-Fide Mistake Occurs in Court Reporting - 27.02.2024

Calcutta HC while observing that the petitioner had sought an apology, it cannot be said that the said news was telecast malignantly or wantonly to give provocation, has held that a bona-fide mistake in reporting a court proceeding does not constitute the offences under the Indian Penal Code.
