Delhi HC: Every Retweet of Defamatory Content on Social Media Amounts to Defamation u/s 499 IPC - 06.02.2024

Delhi HC while ruling that every retweet of defamatory content on social media would amount to “publication” for attracting the offence of defamation under Section 499 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) 1860, has held that the aggrieved person can decide which retweet caused more harm to his reputation.
