SC: Offence of Rape Made Out if Consent of Woman Based on False Promise of Marriage From Inception - 01.02.2024

Supreme Court has held that to sustain the offence of rape on the ground of false promise of marriage, it must be established that right from the inception, the consent was obtained on the basis of the false promise.
