Mad. HC: Magistrate Court Competent to Take Cognizance of Offence under MMDR Act - 31.01.2024

Madras High Court has observed that the Magistrate Court is competent to initiate confiscation proceedings and issue directions for disposal of seized materials with respect to the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (MMDR Act).
