Supreme Court: Non-Appearance of Accused is Not a Ground to Cancel Bail - 30.01.2024

SC while explaining the grounds for cancellation of bail has observed that bail may be cancelled, if it is found that the person who has been granted the bail has violated any condition or misused the liberty. However, non-appearance of accused before court is no ground for cancellation of bail.
