SC Sets Aside Remission of 11 Convicts in Bilkis Bano Gang-Rape Case - 08.01.2024

Supreme Court while setting aside the remission granted to the 11 convicts in Bilkis Bano gang-rape case, has held that the State of Gujarat was not the "appropriate government" to order the remission of the convicts as the trial was held in the State of Maharashtra.
