Mad. HC: Can’t Keep a Shop Closed Forever Merely Because it had Banned Tobacco Product for Sale - 04.01.2024

Madras High Court while observing that sealing a shop affects the right to livelihood of a person guaranteed under Article 19(1)(g) of the Constitution, has held that merely for the reason that banned tobacco products were kept for sale, a shop cannot be closed forever.
