P&H HC: Seeking Centre’s Opinion Regarding Promotion of Judges Affects Independence of Judiciary - 21.12.2023

Punjab and Haryana High Court has held that the State Government seeking opinion from UOI regarding the promotion of judicial officers to the post of Additional District Judge would amount to a serious assault on the independence of the functioning of the High Court.
