SC: If Delay in Filing FIR is not Properly Explained, It Could be Fatal to the Prosecution - 14.12.2023

Supreme Court has held that if the delay in filing FIR is not satisfactorily explained and it appears that cause for delay had been necessitated to frame anyone as an accused, there is no reason as to why delay shouldn’t be considered as fatal to vitiate the conviction.
