SC: Governor Can’t Veto Bills by Withholding Assent - 24.11.2023

Supreme Court while observing that Governor, as an unelected Head of the State, can’t use his powers to thwart the normal course of lawmaking by the State Legislatures has stated Governor must remit the bill back to legislature for reconsideration if he decides to withhold assent.
