JH HC: Accused Must be Granted Time to Show Mitigating Factors in Hearing Related to Death Penalty - 02.11.2023

Jharkhand High Court has held that in every case where the statute provides death penalty the Court must adjourn “further” hearing on sentence after clearly informing the accused that he has a right to produce materials on mitigating circumstances.
