SC: Claim for Damages Can’t Result in Award Without Proof of Injury - 25.10.2023

Supreme Court has held that a claim for damages, whether general or special, cannot as a matter of course result in an award without proof of the claimant having suffered injury, and an award to the contrary would be in conflict with public policy of India.
