JKL HC: Award of Lok Adalat is Equal to a Decree of a Civil Court - 19.10.2023

Jammu and Kashmir and Ladkah High Court has held that an award of the Lok Adalat is equivalent to a decree of a Civil Court and has an element of finality to an award of compromise passed by the Lok Adalat, and no appeal would lie, under Section 96 of the CPC against such award.
